Thanks. Senior Software Developer This individual will be working on an automated application monitoring and as a production support role on a commercially develop application. Skilled Required: •Addresses and ensures resolution of problems related to areas of support. •Experience as production support in an operational role •Develops proactive working relationships across departmental/organizational boundaries •Demonstrated test leadership experience with the ability to manage scope changes •Extensive experience with MS Windows Server, MS SQL Server and Oracle Database •Experience working with SQL, MS SQL Server or Oracle required; solid knowledge of MS Windows Server & IIS •Knowledge of .Net, VB Script, and C# a plus •Solid software engineering skills, thorough knowledge of SDLC methodologies •Advanced analytical and trouble-shooting skills. •Excellent leadership ability. •Organized, detail-oriented, accurate and thorough. •Able to prioritize and complete concurrent projects. •Excellent verbal and written communication skills. •Effective in communications with Business Users. •Develops proactive working relationships across departmental/organizational boundaries. •Background in Gas utilities industry is a strong plus •Minimum of 5 years of software design, implementation and testing of software in commercial products •Experience in CA Spectrum application monitoring a strong plus •Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong collaborative skills. •Strong knowledge of HP Quality Center a plus •Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field. Qualifications: 5+ years development experience. Expert technical knowledge, with hands-on experience in program development in one or more technology environments. Expert skills in verbal and written communications, with the ability to express highly complicated technical concepts in business terms. Expert analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills. Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work well on cross-functional project teams. Strong experience in the industry or in a production/service environment similar to SEu. Extensive knowledge in systems development life cycle and methodologies . Demonstrated ability to lead small (1-3 resources) development efforts. Responsibilities: Conducts requirements gathering, systems analysis and design for high complexity applications. Prepares detailed program specifications for high complexity applications from which programs will be designed, coded, configured, visually developed, tested, debugged. Follows program specifications to design, install, code, document, configure, visually develop, test, debug, plan and execute implementation of application programs. Develops process business knowledge and relationships to integrate activities with other IT and business personnel to ensure successful implementation of projects and production support efforts. Reports to management on the status of project efforts for self and others, anticipating and identifying issues that inhibit the attainment of project goals and implementing corrective actions.
