Below is a summary of the position. Position : Embedded Software Engineer Duration: 12+months Location: Melbourne, FL Job Description: Hot Points: Here are the key skills expected - Embedded C programming experience - Safety critical application development experience (SIL, CENELEC, DO-178B Level A) - GreenHills Compiler experience (ColdFire processor) - RTOS Experience (microC experience preferred) Here are the 5 key requirements in criticality/importance order I am looking for - Embedded C programming experience - Safety critical application development experience (SIL, CENELEC, DO-178B Level A) - MicroC RTOS Experience - GreenHills Compiler or MULTI IDE experience - Experience working in structured, process-oriented environment (like CMMI level 2 or above) Functions / Responsibilities: Software engineer responsible for definition, development and integration of Real Time Embedded software application for use in train communication and control systems. Will design, implement and test software, ensuring quality specifications are met. Will participate actively in design and code reviews. Will use configuration management tools to control software and changes to software. Basic Qualifications / Requirements: - BSEE or BSCS required. - 5-10 years experience in Real Time Embedded software application development using C/C++ programming language is required. - Experience with GreenHills or other equivalent cross-compiler. - Experience with MicroC/OS-II or other equivalent RTOS. - Experience developing and maintaining Embedded applications developed with C/C++ programming language. - Experience with version control system such as StarTeam required. - Must be able to work in a team environment. - Must have good verbal and written communications skills. Desired Qualifications: - Experience with Safety Critical design desirable. - Railroad signalling domain knowledge desirable. NOTE: Please reply me back with your updated resume.
