The Client Customer Protection Services team builds and supports authentication and identity management applications to facilitate secure access to Fidelitys customer facing systems. We operate through multiple channels including internet, voice and trusted partner sites. The FCPS product line works directly with many of Fidelitys business units including the retail brokerage, 401k, and institutional brokerage to provide authentication solutions enabling critical customer transactions. We are looking for a software engineer to participate in a diverse array of development projects. Job and required qualifications are as follows:
Participate in planning, design, development, and implementation for multiple initiatives
Develop systems with both traditional Waterfall and Agile development methodologies and principles. As such, you must possess strong inter-personal skills and be comfortable following the best practices of these processes.
Develop technical system design documents.
Production support of software application
Education and Experience
5+ years of software development experience, including implementation of enterprise solutions in a J2EE environment.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related preferred
Experience with web applications development. Security systems experience a plus.
Experience working in a technical lead capacity including mentoring and coaching development staff
Skills and Knowledge
Solid understanding of the enterprise software development process including analysis, design, coding, system and user testing, problem resolution and planning.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to contribute to design and functional documentation. Strong organization and coordination skills.
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical associates
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot technical issues related to the authoring and delivery of software and web applications
