| Job Description: | Job Title : QA Tester Location: Tallahassee, FL Duration: 8+ Months Max rate: $40/hr only This candidate must have insurance and/or casualty property experience. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Develop and implement test strategy/plan to increase requirements and design coverage in the testable applications Develop and execute test cases according to the department’s QA standards and procedures Participate and actively engage in project discussions and review meetings Generate the test result report including the test build history and defects produced during a release level testing Perform estimation of the testing activities based on requirement documentation and discussions Create or run automated scripts for the verification and validation of Citizen’s applications Create or assist in maintaining the QA standards, procedures and expectations Report to QA and project managers on the allocated projects, communicates and tracks issues to closure Work with business system analysts, development and UAT team where needed Prepare test data manually or in consultation with automation team in the test environment Support the implementation effort and production verification activities REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (include appropriate hardware, software skills needed): Ability to work from functional specifications to write test strategies, test plans and test cases Excellent verbal and written communication skills and analytical skills Hands-on technical skills that allow the ability to perform QA and testing best practices Ability to write SQL and other database validation activities Knowledgeable with test metrics and quality subjects Familiar with SDLC, test life cycle and defect management processes Knowledge of Java/Visual Basic programming REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Five years QA testing experience/insurance/rating experience Bachelor’s degree in related area OR equivalent combination of four years college education and related technical experience Five years of experience in enterprise level quality assurance testing activities Software test experience in developing test strategies, test cases and creating scripts Testing experience in a large scale relational database environment Experience in automated tools/scripts: Quick Test Pro or Win Runner, Quality Center Mahesh Sr. Technical Recruiter Saxon Global Inc |
